What is Safu?
Safu is a safe-cracking roguelike for Playdate where the crank is the safe dial. Turn slowly, listen for the click, pull the handle.
Rob a whole 8-floor bank on one shared clock. Every third safe is a boss that bends the rules, every boss hands you a perk, and once the vault is open the run keeps going in endless mode. Lupin mode swaps every perk for a cursed one, and a seasonal leaderboard tracks the best heists.
How to play
- Turn the crank
The crank is the dial. One turn of the crank is one turn of the knob, with a tick on every detent.
- Listen for the click
A loud K-CHIK! and a shake mean a sweet spot. Reverse direction and hunt for the next one.
- Go steady
Turn too fast and the tumblers fall back. Turn too slowly and the clock runs out.
- Pull the handle
Find all three spots, then press Down to open. Pull too early and you start over.
- Beat the bosses
Every third safe is a boss that bends the rules. Beat it, then pick 1 of 3 perks.
- Crack the vault
Clear 8 floors on one 3:00 clock. Every crack buys back time, and the vault opens into endless mode.
